This is a petition for quashing of FIR No. 274, dated 15th October, 2020, under Section 346 of IPC, registered at Police Station Nangal Chaudhri, District Mahendergarh and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom.

On notice, reply dated 13th January, 2021 by way of affidavit of Mr. Kushal Singh, H.P.S., Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mahendergarh is filed. The relevant portion of the reply is reproduced below:- "3. That it is also relevant to mention here that during the course of investigation, it was also revealed that Miss Deepika has solemnized her marriage with the petitioner at her own sweet will at Panchkula in Shiv temple. The allegations levelled in the present case were not PANKAJ BAWEJA 2021.03.15 13:19 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document HIGH COURT, CHANDIGARH

CRM-M-39577-2020 -2substantiated by cogent, reliable and consistent evidence, therefore, a cancellation report was prepared on 21.11.2020 in the present case by SHO, police station, Nangal Coudhary, which has been sent to the higher police authorities to forward it to the Ld. Court of Illaqa Magistrate, Narnaul."

Mr. Deepak Bhardwaj, Deputy Advocate General, Haryana submits that cancellation report will be filed within four weeks from today.

Mr. Sandeep Gahlawat, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of the statement made, no cause of action survives for pursuing the present petition at this stage. Disposed of.
