The petitioners are residents of village Sadpura, Tehsil and District Faridabad. They claim themselves to be living 'below poverty line' and thus, entitled to allotment of 100 square yard residential plots under Mahatma Gandhi Gramin Basti Yojna which was launched by State of Haryana in the year 2008. It is also claimed that the Gram Panchayat of their village considered the claim of petitioners and other eligible persons, verified and allotted them the subject plots but neither possession was given nor the gift deeds have been executed. It is in this backdrop that the petitioners seek a writ of mandamus to direct the authorities to allot the plots to them.

[3] The writ petition is, thus, disposed of without expressing any views on merit with a direction to Deputy Commissioner, Faridabad, to depute the BDPO concerned to hold a fact finding enquiry and decide the representation of the petitioners dated 12.01.2017 (P6) in consonance with the Government Scheme and determine the petitioners' claim re: allotment of plots within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
