Mr. Imran Farooqi, Advocate for the petitioner. ***** KIRTI SINGH, J.(Oral) This petition under Article 226/227 of Constitution of India has been filed seeking direction to the official respondent(s) to protect the life, liberty and property of the petitioner at the hands of private respondent No.4 (arrayed in the petition) and take action on his representation dated 20.07.2024 (Annexure P-2).

At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has filed a representation dated 20.07.2024 before the Senior Superintendent of Police, Fatehgarh Sahib (Annexure P-2) raising his grievances as mentioned in the present petition but the same has not yet been considered and no action has been taken thereon. He further submitted that at this stage, the petitioner would be satisfied if appropriate directions are issued to respondent No.-2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Fatehgarh Sahib, to decide the aforesaid representation filed by the petitioner and take necessary action thereon.

In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner, without commenting anything on the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of at this stage with a direction to respondent No.2 to decide the aforesaid representation dated 20.07.2024 (Annexure P-2) of the petitioner expeditiously, by passing a speaking order in accordance with law. 6.

Needless to say, if any threat is found to the petitioner, the official respondents would provide him adequate security in order to protect his life and liberty.
