(ORAL) By way of present writ petition, the petitioner prays for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No.1 to 4 for effecting recovery of embezzled amount of Rs.52,71,591/- from respondent No.5 by resorting Section 216 of the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 (for short, the 1994 Act), in terms of Annexure P-3. Mr. H.P.S.Ishar, Addl. A.G., Punjab, appears on advance notice and submits that on the basis of Annexure P-3, notices already stand issued. FIR has been registered by the Vigilance Department. After FIR No.13 was registered on 25.05.2026, the entire record is in possession of Vigilance Department.
