**** JAISHREE THAKUR, J. (ORAL) It is contended that the petitioner herein is entitled to be promoted to the post of Deputy Controller (Legal Metrology). It is contended that for the last five years the petitioner has been working as Assistant Controller (Legal Metrology) and holding additional charge of the post of Deputy Controller (Legal Metrology). The petitioner has already represented for promotion against the vacant post but the same has not been considered.

Mr. R.S. Sidhu, learned AAG, Punjab is directed to accept notice on behalf of the respondents. Let three copies of the petition be served upon him by learned counsel for the petitioner during the course of the day.
