This petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing respondent No. 2 to revise the petitioners' salary after releasing him benefits of 7th Pay Commission w.e.f. 01.01.2016, as has been done in case of other University teachers.

Short reply has been filed on behalf of respondents No. 2 to 4, wherein it has been specifically stated that the petitioner has already been granted benefit of 7th Pay Commission vide letter dated 9.7.2021, and all consequential benefits, as per his entitlement have also been paid. Apparently, the grievance raised in the petition has been answered by releasing the due benefits. In case the petitioner still has any pending claim, he will be at liberty to make appropriate representation in that regard to the University, which shall be decided in accordance with law. 4.
