(Oral) The petitioner seeks quashing of order dated 15.12.2015 (Annexure P/7) whereby request of grant of retrospective seniority has been considered and rejected by respondent no.2. A perusal of the said order would go on to show that a non speaking order was communicated to the petitioner. The said order reads as under:- "Reference your office letter No.13879/A-2 dated 18.5.2015 on the above mentioned subject.

Regarding letter in reference, application submitted by LRASI Harjit Singh No.122/FGS for promotion from retrospective date as Head Constable as also the comments received from your office, the case is considered and consigned to record room. In this connection the concerned employee should be informed at your level. The service book of the employee is attached."
It is not disputed that the petitioner has filed request by way of legal notice for reconsideration of the same on 27.12.2015 (Annexure P/8) which has been followed by further reminders on 27.1.2016 (Annexure P/9) and 2.3.2016 (Annexure P/11).

Keeping in view the request for reconsideration of the matter is pending before respondent no.2, it would be appropriate if the same respondent decides the same within a fixed time frame. Accordingly, without commenting upon the merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no.2 to decide the said legal notice dated 27.12.2015 (Annexure P/8) and pass an appropriate order in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order and the same be conveyed to the petitioner.
