The instant petition has been filed by the petitioners for directions to the respondent(s) No. 1 to 3 to protect their life and liberty from the respondent(s) No. 4 to 7.

The learned counsel representing the petitioners submits that the petitioners have filed a representation dated 27.05.2026 (Annexure P3) before the respondent(s) No.2. The learned counsel prays for directions to the respondent(s) No.2 to decide the above-mentioned representation within a stipulated time.

Notice of motion to respondent(s) No.1 to 3 only. 4.

Criminal Writ Petition No. 6611 of 2026 respondent(s) No.1 to 3 is hereby dispensed with. 5.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that a direction for disposing of the representation of the petitioners (Annexure P3) be given to the respondent(s) No.2 and that the instant writ petition be disposed of accordingly.

Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, the present writ petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondent(s) No.2 to decide the representation of the petitioners (Annexure P3) by passing a speaking order within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of copy of instant order. It is further directed that the petitioners shall be provided requisite safety and security to protect their life and liberty, if required. It is however clarified that any observation is not being made by this Court with regard to threat perception to the petitioners or the validity of the relationship of the petitioners. The police authority of concerned District shall be at liberty to make an independent assessment of the threat perception to the petitioners, and take a decision on the issue of providing adequate security to them.
