*** Learned counsel for the petitioner states that he has no instructions from the petitioner as to whether he has joined the investigation or not. Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Tarlochan Singh states that petitioner has not joined the investigation.
In the last order it was specifically mentioned that in case petitioner fails to join the investigation by the next date of hearing i.e. for today, the petition shall be liable to be dismissed. The direction issued by this Court to the petitioner to join the investigation has not been complied with, therefore, the petition deserves to be dismissed.
At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner states that he be permitted to withdraw the present petition.
