**** HARKESH MANUJA, J. (ORAL) The petitioner, by way of present writ petition, seeks issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing respondent Nos. 2 & 3 to consider and decide the representations dated 23.05.2026 & 27.05.2026 (AnnexuresP-2 & P-3 respectively) regarding the constitution of election committee pursuant to election notification dated 22.05.2026 (Annexure P-1) for the election of Trishla City Residents' Welfare Association scheduled to be held on 07.06.2026.

[2] At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submits that instead of pressing the present petition on merits, his client would be satisfied in case the his representation dated 23.05.2026 & 27.05.2026 made before respondent Nos. 2 & 3 are decided expeditiously. [3] Notice of motion qua respondent Nos. 1 to 3 only. [4] On asking of the Court, Mr. Gunjan Mehta, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondent Nos. 1 to 3 and raises no objection against the innocuous prayer made on behalf of the DINESH KUMAR 2026.06.02 14:34 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

[5] In view of the above, but without expressing any opinion on merits of the claim of petitioner, present writ petition is disposed off with direction to respondent No. 3 (Sub Divisional Magistrate, Derabassi, District SAS Nagar) to decide the aforesaid representation of petitioner in accordance with law. The parties are directed to appear before the office of respondent No. 3 on 03.06.2026 at 11.00 a.m.

[6] Needless to say that in case the petitioner is still aggrieved, he would be at liberty to challenge the order passed by respondent No. 3. [7] Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed off.
