(ORAL) Present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner claiming that as per the instructions issued by the State of Punjab dated 26.02.2007 (Annexure P-1), on promotion as Senior Medical Officer, the petitioner was entitled for one increment. In fact, these instructions came in the year 2007 and by that time, the petitioner had already retired from service. Even though there is delay of 11 years in approaching this Court, but as the present case is for the grant of one increment on promotion, which will enhance the pensionary benefits of the petitioner, I deem it appropriate to direct the respondents to decide the representation dated 04.07.2018 (Annexure P-6), which the petitioner has filed in respect NARESH KUMAR 2018.12.03 15:38 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
