After disposal of this Public Interest Litigation, vide order dated 06.04.2011, a letter dated 17.10.2018, was sent by the Special Judge, CBI, Punjab, S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali), for summoning the original letter dated 05.03.2008, produced by the petitioner during course of hearing before this Court on 03.07.2009, which formed part of the record and ordered to be kept in a sealed cover.

Today an affidavit has been filed on behalf of the State of Punjab that they have no objection if the aforementioned letter in the sealed cover is released to the CBI Court. The affidavit is taken on record. In view of the aforesaid, the office is directed to depute an official to produce the original letter dated 05.03.2008, kept in a sealed cover in the record of this writ petition, in the Court of Special Judge, CBI, Punjab, S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali).
