Petitioner, in sum and substance, is seeking promotion to the post of Superintendent Grade I from the rank of Superintendent Grade II while serving in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Secretariat. His grievance is that although he has been designated as Superintendent Grade I, however, substantive appointment has not been made.

Upon notice, reply stands filed.

Now CM 15382/2018,supported by affidavit of the petitioner, has been filed seeking an unconditional withdrawal of the writ petition as the claimed relief has since been granted to the petitioner vide order dated 30.7.2018.

For the reasons stated above, CM 15382/2018 is allowed and CWP 7193/2016 is dismissed as withdrawn.
