Apprehending threat to his life and liberty, the petitioner has filed the present petition with a prayer to direct the official respondents to protect his life and liberty from respondents No.4 to 6.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that FIR No. 337 dated 08.12.2023 under Sections 7/13 of Prevention of Corruption Act, read with Section 342 Indian Penal Code, Police Station Rama Mandi, Jalandhar was registered against respondent No. 5, SHO Pankaj Sharma with regard to demand of illegal gratification, on complaint of petitioner, who was running a Spacum-Salon Centre. Later, the police cancelled the FIR, which petitioner contested. The cancellation report was not yet accepted by the Court. Respondent No. 6 in collusion with respondent No. 5, was still harassing the petitioner to compromise the matter and was not permitting him to open a new Salon in the vicinity of village Adampur. In this regard, a representation (Annexure P-3) was moved to respondent No. 4-Senior Superintendent of Police, AJAY GOSWAMI 2026.06.03 18:44 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRWP-6644-2026 (O&M) 2 Jalandhar Rural, but no action was taken on the same. Learned counsel submits that petitioner would be satisfied if appropriate direction is issued to the official respondents to consider and decide representation dated Nil (Annexure P-3) moved by petitioner and take necessary action thereupon in a time bound manner.

Notice of motion to official respondents only. Mr. Akash Yadav, AAG Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents and submits that representation (Annexure P-3) was not received by the official respondents. However, the same would now be processed and appropriate action would be taken in accordance with law. Keeping in view the limited prayer made by petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 4-Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar Rural, to decide the aforesaid representation (Annexure P-3) submitted by petitioner within a period of 15 days from today by passing a reasoned and speaking order in accordance with law and take necessary action, if so required.

However, if, respondent No.4 does not find any substance in the allegations levelled in the representation (Annexure P-3), the petitioner shall be informed as per mandate of law.
