Apprehending threat to their life and liberty, the petitioner has filed the present petition with a prayer to direct the official respondents to protect their life and liberty from respondents No.4 to 6.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that both petitioners are residents of Australia. They came to India and on 18.05.2026, when they were fencing the area in front of their house, private respondents abused them and extended threats. They also made a false complaint against the petitioners, alleging that petitioners threatened them while showing gun, whereas petitioners gun was already deposited in police station in the year 2021. In this regard, a representation dated 27.05.2026 (Annexure P-1) was moved to respondent No. 2-Senior Superintendent of Police, District Fatehgarh Sahib, but no action was taken on the same. Learned counsel submits that petitioners would be satisfied if appropriate direction is issued to the official respondents to AJAY GOSWAMI 2026.06.03 18:44 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CRWP-6632-2026 (O&M) 2 consider and decide representation dated 27.05.2026 (Annexure P1) moved by petitioners and take necessary action thereupon in a time bound manner.
Notice of motion to official respondents only. Mr. Akash Yadav, AAG Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents and submits that enquiry on petitioner's representation was underway and the needful would be done in due course.
Keeping in view the limited prayer made by petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 2- Senior Superintendent of Police, District Fatehgarh Sahib, to decide the aforesaid representation dated 27.05.2026 (Annexure P-1) submitted by petitioners within a period of one month from today by passing a reasoned and speaking order in accordance with law and take necessary action, if so required.
However, if, respondent No.2 does not find any substance in the allegations levelled in the representation (Annexure P-1), the petitioner shall be informed as per mandate of law.
