Petitioners are serving as Panchayat Secretaries on regular basis under the Department of Rural Development and Panchayats,Punjab and by filing the present petition they are claiming release of salary due since May 2017.

Upon notice, reply stands filed.

The reason for delay in payment of salary has been attributed to generation of funds. It is submitted that salary due till November 2017 stands paid. Directions have also been issued by the Director to the subordinate authorities for timely release of salary of employees. In view of the above, petition is disposed of as infructuous. It is hoped that due salary of the petitioners will be released in future at the earrliest.
