(oral) This petition is filed for seeking a direction to the respondents to correct the place of birth and the spelling of father's name of the petitioner, which has been allegedly wrongly mentioned by the Regional Passport Office, Chandigarh while issuing the passport No. A9643735.

It is not disputed that the application of the petitioner is already pending before the Passport Adalat where the petitioner has been asked to appear but so far the said Passport Adalat has not taken any decision.

This petition is disposed of with a direction to the Passport Adalat, who is seized of the matter, to decide the case of the petitioner in accordance with law, as early as possible, preferably, within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
