*** Rakesh Kumar Jain, J. (oral) The petitioner is a senior citizen, who has filed an application under the provisions of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Act, 2007 before the Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana-respondent No.2, which has not been decided so far.

The prayer made in the petition is for issuance of a direction to respondent No.2 to decide the application of the petitioner as early as possible.

Accordingly this petition is disposed of with a direction to the Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana-respondent No.2 to decide the application filed by the petitioner, as early as possible, preferably, within a period of one month from the date of passing of this order.
