ARUN PALLI, J. (ORAL) Vide order being assailed, dated 25.05.2016 (Annexure P-4), the petitioner was discharged from the rolls of Chandigarh Home Guards Organization, with immediate effect, for, his services were no longer required. While issuing notice of motion, this Court vide order dated 14.12.2017, had stayed the operation of the impugned order. Ms. Priyanka Dalal, Advocate, has caused appearance on behalf of the respondents and produced a copy of the order dated 17.01.2018, which reveals that the petitioner has since been re-enrolled as a volunteer in the Chandigarh Home Guards Organization with immediate effect. Accordingly, on instructions from Shri Inder Mohan, Platoon Commander, U.T. Home Guards Department, Chandigarh, she submits that the impugned order dated 25.05.2016 (Annexure P-4) is rendered otis and in any case the same shall be withdrawn forthwith. CWP-28461-2017 In response, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner shall not claim any wages for the said period and he specifically gives up his claim in this regard.
