State of Punjab and others .............Respondent CORAM: HON'BLE MR.JUSTICE JASWANT SINGH Present:- Ms.Minakshi Poswal,Advocate for the petitioner Mr.Yatinder Sharma,Addl.AG Punjab for respondents Jaswant Singh,J.(Oral) The grievance of Sarpanch of Village Jalalabad, Block Bhunerheri, District Patiala is that the Panches-respondent nos. 4 to 6 are not attending the meetings to conduct the business for the benefit of Gram Panchayat and,therefore, liable for action under Section 20(1)(d) of the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act,1994 and inspite of representation dated nil (P-5) no action is being initiated by the Director, Rural Development and Panchayat Department,Punjab.
On 29.4.2015, case was adjourned for today and learned Additional Advocate General,Punjab was directed to seek instructions in this regard.
At the time of hearing today, Mr.Yatinder Sharma, Addl.AG Punjab on instructions from Mr.Amrik Singh, Panchayat Officer, Block Bhunerheri, District Patiala states that a preliminary enquiry into the RAJINDER PRASHAD JOSHI 2015.05.07 11:11 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court, Chandigarh.
CWP 8157/2015 allegations has been ordered which shall be completed within 30 days and action taken under the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act,1994. In response, learned counsel for the petitioner states that the grievance of the petitioner has been redressed and the petition has become infructuous.
In view of the above, present writ petition is disposed of as having become infructuous.
