Randhir Singh v. State Of Punjab And Others
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA
AT CHANDIGARH.
Crl. Misc. No.M-34300 of 2019 (O&M) Date of Decision: September 19, 2019 Randhir Singh ..........PETITIONER(s).
VERSUS
State of Punjab and others ........RESPONDENT(s).
CORAM:- HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SURINDER GUPTA
Present:
Mr. Deepak Arora, Advocate for the petitioner (s).
******* SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) Heard.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in complaint filed by one Shupinder Singh against Gurpreet Singh and Dilbagh Singh, police is unnecessary calling the petitioner time and again. Pressure is being built upon the petitioner to act as a mediator to settle the dispute under the threat that he will also be implicated in this case. Without expressing any opinion on merits, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Batala to look into the grievance of petitioner as put forth by his counsel and take appropriate action in accordance with law. However, it is made clear that the above order will not be interpreted as providing protection to petitioner from any action taken in any civil, criminal or any other proceedings initiated/pending against him in accordance with law.
