Petitioners have filed this petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, inter alia, seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent(s) to supply the copy of maps of Wards No.6, 10 to 13, 15, 16, 37, 41 to 43, 45 and 49 of the Municipal Corporation, Hoshiarpur enabling the petitioners to scrutinize the exact placement and voter numbers in the wards.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that for the redressal of their grievance, petitioners have filed representation dated 29.05.2026 (Annexure P-16), however the same has not been decided yet. 3.
