The petitioner assails the correctness of the order dated 27.09.2018 (Annexure P23) directing him to deposit the amount of ₹3,01,083/- within a period of 15 days along with the order by which he was placed under suspension, which admittedly stands imposed. 2.

On the careful reading of the order (Annexure P23), it is evident that the dispute is with regard to the travelling allowance paid as an advance to the petitioner for visiting various countries. In the impugned order itself, it has been pointed out that if the petitioner has separate details of the travelling allowance for the journeys not actually performed, he may submit such details to the office.

2023:PHHC:076268 Civil Writ Petition No. 26781 of 2018 has not submitted the separate details as required in the impugned notice/order. On being confronted, the learned counsel representing the petitioner submits that the petitioner will submit the said details within a period of ten days from today.

The learned State counsel, on the instructions from Mr.Vikram Singh, Law Officer, Punjab Vidhan Sabha, submits that the competent authority will examine the details and pass an appropriate order in accordance with the law within a period of the next one month, positively. Till then, no coercive steps against the petitioner shall be taken. 5.

With the observations made above, the present writ petition is disposed of.
