The grievance of the petitioner in the instant writ petition is against rejection of her nomination for the post of Member of Zila Parishad by the authorities on the ground that she has not submitted 'No Demand Certificate' from the Electricity Board, thereby depriving her from participating in the election scheduled to be held on 17.01.2016.

As no time is left either for this Court or for the authorities to call for the record and determine the petitioner's eligibility to contest the ensuing election, we dispose of the writ petition with liberty to the petitioner to raise this plea in the Election Petition, if so advised.

Needless to say that the Election Tribunal shall be obligated to decide such petition within six months. (4)
