***** JASPAL SINGH, J (ORAL) By virtue of instant petition preferred under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent-department to release the retiral benefits to her qua deceased-Ashok Kumar, her husband, who died in harness. 2.
At the very outset of the arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though representation dated 17.03.2015 (Annexure P-5) was moved to the petitioner but till date neither any benefit has been released nor any reply has been received despite the fact that a period of more than two years has elapsed. He further submits that petitioner feels satisfied in case direction is issued to respondent(s) to decide aforesaid representation, within a stipulated period.
