G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) The petitioner seeks re-conduction of the driving proficiency test and to participate in other events for the post of Heavy Vehicle Driver. It is his case that in pursuance of advertisement dated 18.05.2017 (Annexure P-1), he applied for the post of Driver and qualified the written test. Further, the qualified candidates had to undergo the following four driving tests and which were to be videographed:- "(i) Dug Test (Reverse) (ii) 8 Shape (Reverse and Forward) iii) Zig-Zag Test and finally (iv) Road Test."

It is the grouse of the petitioner that he had undergone the DUG test (reverse) but has been shown fail in the 8 shape (reverse and forward) test on account of a technical fault in the steering of the bus allotted to him. The details of the vehicle used i.e. HR45A 5039 which was supplied to him has also been mentioned. It is accordingly submitted that it was due to technical defect in the bus that he has not been able to pass. Admittedly, the petitioner has not approached the respondents for the redressal of his grievances as no representation has been attached Shivani Gupta 2017.12.16 14:58 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Accordingly, the present writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach Chairman of the Committee/respondent no. 3 by filing a detailed representation. The said Chairman/respondent no. 3 shall take a decision on the said representation within a period of one week from the date of filing of the same as per the instructions issued by the higher authorities qua the methodology to be adopted in cases of any person having any grievance as such.
