Versus
State of Haryana ............................... Respondent CORAM : HON'BLE MRS. JUSTICE MANJARI NEHRU KAUL ...
Present:

...
MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (Oral) This is second petition for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in FIR No. 332 dated 20.10.2020 under Sections 363, 366, 506, (373(3) added later on) and Section 4 of the POCSO Act registered at Police Station Uchana, Jind.
Learned State counsel on instructions has apprised this court that only 04 prosecution witnesses out of the 18 cited remain to be examined on 14.12.2022. He submits that the trial shall not take much time to conclude. He has also opposed the prayer made by the counsel opposite for grant of bail to the petitioner on the ground that he had sexually violated the person of a minor who was about 14 years of age. I have heard the learned counsel and perused the relevant material on record.
In the facts and circumstances as enumerated above, this court is not inclined to extend the concession of bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this petition is dismissed.

At this stage, a request has been made by the counsel for the petitioner for a direction to the trial court to expedite the trial as the petitioner has now been in custody since 22.10.2020. The trial court shall make earnest efforts to conclude the trial expeditiously, preferably within 04 months. Needless to add that in case the petitioner requires any medical help in view of his medical condition, the authorities shall extend all possible medical help to him.
