The grievance of the petitioner is that his land, situated at village Karnal, was acquired vide notifications dated 02.01.2002 (Annexure P2) and 24.12.2002 (Annexure P3) in pursuance of Sections 4 & 6 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, respectively. The award was passed on 23.11.2010. However, no compensation has been paid to him till date. The respondents have not filed any reply despite two opportunities granted to them. There are no instructions given to learned State counsel as to whether or not compensation has been paid. Since the petitioner is undoubtedly entitled to be paid compensation for his acquired land and keeping in view the relief sought by him in the writ petition, we allow the same with a direction to the respondents to calculate the due amount of compensation along with Deepak Kumar Bhardwaj 2018.01.23 11:37 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
