Present writ petition for issuance of directions to the respondents to re-fix the pension of the petitioners as per Government circular dated 17.08.2009 (Annexure P1) on account of increase in pay scales/grade pay as per the judgment passed by this Court in Karanvir Singh and Others v. State of Punjab and Others (CWP-2866-2014, decided on 30.09.2016).

Learned counsel for the petitioners contended petitioners retired from their services on 31.10.1997 and 31.08.2001, respectively, but their pension has not been re-fixed as yet. Learned counsel further contended that for this purpose, petitioners got issued legal notice dated 25.08.2018 (Annexure P5), but still no action has been taken thereon. Notice of motion.
