(ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioner at the outset has drawn the attention of this Court to the FIR, which has been annexed as Annexure P-1, which was registered at the instance of the petitioner as well as a representation dated 15.07.2024 (Annexure P-2) given to respondent Nos.2 and 3. It has been asserted by the learned counsel that the private respondents, which includes respondent No.4, her estranged daughter-in-law, have been extending threats of dire consequences and had also set their house on fire. However, despite the FIR having been registered on 08.06.2024, the official respondents had failed to initiate any steps to apprehend the private respondents. 2.

After arguing for some time, learned counsel submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if directions are issued to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, District Gurdaspur, to look into the representation dated 15.07.2024 (Annexure P-2) of the petitioner and take appropriate steps in accordance with law. 3.

In the wake of the limited prayer of the petitioner, the instant petition is disposed of and respondent No.2Senior Superintendent of Police, District Gurdaspur, is directed to look into the grievance of the petitioner and take appropriate steps, if any required, under the provisions of law.
