(ORAL) Present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking promotion to the post of Junior Engineer on the ground that he is the senior most and having the requisite experience on the post of pump operator. It has been averred in the petition that certain juniors to the petitioner as pump operator, have already been promoted. Counsel for the petitioner states that at this stage the petitioner will be satisfied in case the department/competent authority is directed to decide the legal notice dated 02.06.2018 (Annexure P-8) which the petitioner has served upon raising the claim which has been made in the present writ petition.
