The matter in controversy is limited to the point that petitioner retired from service on 31.08.2015 and he has already been paid the retiral benefits but the same were not paid on due date and no payment was made on account of interest amount.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that for this purpose, petitioner has already got issued legal notice dated 18.04.2018 (Annexure P3) for payment on account of interest on delayed payment. As the matter in controversy is restricted to this point, present writ petition stands disposed of with the directions to look into legal notice dated 18.04.2018 (Annexure P3) and take decision thereon expeditiously and consider to release the payment on account of interest on delayed payment i.e. from due date till the date of its actual payment within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
