The petitioner has filed the present petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of HabeasCorpus to release the detenue, namely, Ikwinder Kaur wife of petitioner from the illegal custody of respondents No.4 to 6 and to produce the detenue before this Court.

In compliance of the order dated 04.06.2026 passed by a Coordinate Bench of this Court, the alleged detenue, namely, Ikwinder Kaur has been produced before this Court.

During the course of hearing, the alleged detenue, Ikwinder Kaur, submits that she is aged about 20 years and at present, she is staying with her father, Teg Bhadhur Singh in village Gurditpura, District Patiala and now, she wants to go back with her husband, present petitioner. Since the alleged detenue is major and wants to stay with the petitioner, her husband, she is permitted to go with him. Thus, no further orders are required to be passed by this Court and the petition is accordingly disposed of.
