In view of the fact that the alleged detenue Saranjit Singh was found to be involved in FIR No. 373 dated 19.11.2020; arrested in that case and produced before JMIC, Chandigarh on 30.11.2020, it cannot be said that he was being illegally confined at Police Station Sector 39, Chandigarh.

In view of the above position, no further action in the matter is called for. Accordingly, the petition stands dismissed. ( H.S.
