Prayer made in the present writ petition is for grant of interest on the delayed payment on account of gratuity and other retiral benefits. As per petitioner, he retired from service on 31.08.2016, but he was not paid the retiral benefits including the gratuity on the due date. For this purpose, petitioner has already made representation dated 09.09.2018 (Annexure P6) for payment on account of interest on the delayed payment, but the same remained undecided.

In view of above, present writ petition stands disposed of with the directions to the respondents to look into representation dated 09.09.2018 (Annexure P6) made by the petitioner and take required decision thereon expeditiously and preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
