Petitioners have preferred a writ in the nature of mandamus for decision of legal notice dated 01.05.2017 . Petitioners' plea is that they have taken land in question on lease forty five years back. They are in cultivating possession thereof. Their plea is that at the time when their land was acquired, it was incumbent upon the State to compensate them. This court finds no merit in the plea. Besides, the prayer clause does not contain any substantive relief. There can be serious doubt about the maintainability of the writ petition seeking only a direction to decide the legal notice. Dismissed.
