Petitioner stands promoted as Social Studies Master vide order dated 13.7.2018 (P-6) issued by the Director (Secondary Education)Punjab. Consequently, vide order dated 24.7.2018 (P-7) issued by DPI (SE) he was posted at Govt.High School,Rudka, District Sangrur. The grievance raised is that he was not permitted to join by the District Education Officer,Sangrur on account of petitioner having passed his BA Part II and III Examinations through Correspondence Course without seeking prior permission for the same. It was contended that for undertaking Correspondence Course no permission was required.

At the time of hearing, learned State counsel on instructions from Mr.Ram Singh,Clerk office of DEO Sangrur states that post facto approval of the said Examination has been granted on 22.11.2018 and the RAJINDER PARSHAD JOSHI 2018.12.14 14:40 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP 27272/2018 petitioner stands posted in Govt.Sr.Secondary School, Eelwal Gagadpur, District Sangrur vide subsequent order dated 6.12.2018. The joining at fresh place of posting is held up due to enforcement of Code of Conduct in view of Panchayat Elections.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed of with the direction to DEO Sangrur to permit the petitioner to join at his place of posting forthwith as also regularise his claim for salary etc., for the intervening period i.e. from 24.7.2018 till the date of joining. Disposed of accordingly.
