JASWANT SINGH, J (ORAL) The petitioner was working as Sub Inspector with the Pepsu Road Transport Corporation, Patiala and was due to superannuate on 31.12.2015 on obtaining the age of 58 years. By filing the present petition, he has laid challenge to order dated 24.4.2015 (P.1) whereby he was promoted as Inspector and transferred from Chandigarh to Patiala. On 05.5.2015, this Court, on the statement of learned counsel for the petitioner to the effect that the petitioner would not seek extension in service beyond his date of superannuation, while issuing notice of motion had stayed his transfer from Chandigarh to Patiala.
At the time of hearing today, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present petition has become infructuous as the petitioner stands retired w.e.f 31.12.2015 in the rank of Inspector.
Dismissed as infructuous.
