RAJIVE BHALLA, J (Oral) The petitioner prays for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to decide the petitioner's representations dated 30.03.2015 (Annexure P-5) and 11.04.2015 (Annexure P-6), calling upon the respondents to rectify the electoral roll, pertaining to voters of Municipal Council, Jind, particularly voters of Ward Nos.22 and 23..

We have heard counsel for the petitioner and without expressing any opinion as to the merits of the controversy, dispose of the writ petition by directing the Deputy Commissioner, Jind, to consider the aforesaid representations and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within one month of the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. In case, the power to rectify the electoral rolls has been conferred upon some other officer, the Deputy Commissioner shall forward the representations to the officer concerned.
