Petitioner who was appointed as a member of District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Amritsar has impugned order dated 12.12.2017 whereby he was transferred to District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum at Ferozepur. According to him, said transfer is in contravention of Consumer Protection (Punjab) Rules, 1987 as the Rules do not envisage transfer of member of a Consumer Redressal Forum. Petition is disposed of with the direction that respondent may examine the issue and pass a fresh order within one month. Till then, petitioner may be allowed to continue on the post he is occupying.
