The petitioners- parents of respondent No.5 allege threat to their lives at the hands of respondent Nos.4 and 5 who have got married against their wishes. They are further apprehending danger to their lives at the hands of respondent No.6 who is respondent Nos.4's sister. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that at this stage he would be satisfied if the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to examine and take action on the issues raised by the petitioners in their representation dated 21.10.2020 (Annexure P-5). I find the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners to be reasonable.

Accordingly, at this stage, without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Amritsar Rural to examine the representation dated 21.10.2020 (Annexure P-5), submitted by the RAVINDER SINGH 2020.12.09 19:35 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
