This Writ Petition Under Article 226 of Constitution of India has been filed for issuance of directions to respondents to reserve the post of President for S.C. Category in the Municipal Council, Ramdas, District Amritsar in accordance with Article 243T of the Constitution of India, Section 8-A of the Punjab Municipal Act, 1911 and the Punjab Municipalities (Reservation of Offices of Presidents) Rules, 1994. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks withdrawal of the petition at this stage with liberty to approach the respondents by way of representation which shall be adjudicated within a period of one week from the date of its receipt by the competent authority. 3.
