Prayer made in the writ petition is for grant of interest on the delayed payment of retiral benefits.
Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that petitioner retired from services on 28.02.2017 and his retiral benefits including gratuity, leave encashment, provident fund, GIS etc. were released after the delay of more than ten months without any justified grounds and there was no delay on the part of present petitioner. For that purpose, petitioner has moved representation dated 06.02.2017 (Annexure P1) and recent reminder, thereafter, is dated 20.12.2017 (Annexure P4). Notice of motion.
On asking of the Court, Mrs. Anju Arora, Additional Advocate General, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
