JUSTICE GURVINDER SINGH GILL Present:- Mr. Salinder Kumar Saini, Advocate for the petitioner. ***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that although FIR No.0135 dated 23.7.2019 at Police Station Ajnala, District Amritsar (Rural) under Sections 376, 506 and 120-B of Indian Penal Code and Sections 4 and 6 of POCSO Act had been lodged in the month of July 2019 but till date neither any effective investigation has been conducted by the police nor any accused has been arrested.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and while refraining from making any expression as regards merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4-Senior Superintendent of Police, Amritsar (Rural) to ensure that the investigation pertaining to FIR No.0135 dated 23.7.2019 is conducted expeditiously in accordance with law, so that a final report is filed thereupon at the earliest.
