The instant Election petition had been filed by the petitioner, Sh. Neeraj Salhotra for setting aside the election of Sh. Vinod Khanna elected as a Member Parliament (Lok Sabha) Parliamentary Constituency. On 01.06.2017, Court was informed that Mr. Vinod Khanna has since expired on 27.04.2017.

Accordingly, office was directed to comply with the procedure as contemplated under Section 116 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
