This petition under Article 226 of Constitution of India has been filed seeking direction to the official respondent(s) to protect the life, liberty and property of the petitioners at the hands of private respondent Nos.4 to 6 (arrayed in the petition) and take action against private respondents No. 4 to 7. He further seeks a direction to respondent No.2 to decide her representation dated 19.07.2024 (Annexure P-2).

At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner(s) has submitted that the petitioner has filed a representation dated 19.07.2024 before the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana (Rural) (Annexure P-2) raising her grievances as mentioned in the present petition but the same has not yet been considered and no action has been taken therein. He further submitted that at this stage, the petitioner would be satisfied if appropriate directions are issued to respondent No.-2-Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana (Rural), to decide the SATYAWAN 2024.08.06 09:36 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CRWP-7431-2024 aforementioned representation filed by the petitioner and take necessary action therein.

At the asking of the Court, Mr. Randhir Singh Thind, DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondent(s)-State and submits that the needful will be done in due course. Let a complete set of the paperbook be supplied to him during the course of the day.

In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner, without commenting anything on the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of at this stage with a direction to respondent No.2 to decide the aforementioned representation dated 19.07.2024 ( Annexure P-2) of the petitioner expeditiously, by passing a speaking order in accordance with law. 6.
Needless to say, if any threat is found to the petitioner, the official respondents would provide her adequate security in order to protect her life and liberty.
