JUSTICE GURVINDER SINGH GILL Present:- Mr. Naveen Bawa, Advocate for the petitioner. ***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of directions to respondents No.3 and 4 not to harass the petitioner and other members of her family at the behest of respondents No.5 and 6 and not to pressurize her to compromise the matter pertaining to FIR No.12 dated 12.3.2019 registered at Police Station NRI, under Sections 406, 498-A and 120-B of Indian Penal Code, 1860.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the aforesaid FIR was lodged against respondents No.5 and 6 at the instance of the sister of the petitioner, who has authorized the petitioner to pursue her case by executing a general power of attorney in her favour. The learned counsel has submitted that respondents No.3 and 4 at the instance of respondents No.5 and 6 have been pressurizing the petitioner and her sister to compromise the matter pertaining to the aforesaid FIR, and although she Pankaj Kakkar 2019.08.28 18:04 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

( 2 ) CRM-M-35318-2019 (O&M) had brought the said fact to the notice of the police, but no action has been taken thereupon Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and without commenting anything on merits of the case or as regards the veracity of allegations, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana to look into the matter and to dispose of the representation dated 1.7.2019 (Annexure P-2), moved by petitioner, in accordance with law, at the earliest.
