CHANDIGARH Civil Writ Petition No.8155 of 2016 Date of Decision: May 02, 2016 Sanjay Kumar Bhagat and another ....Petitioners versus The State of Punjab and another .....Respondents CORAM:HON'BLE MR.JUSTICE SURYA KANT.
HON'BLE MR.JUSTICE A.B.CHAUDHARI.
--- Present: Mr.Sandeep Goyal, Advocate, for the petitioners. --- Surya Kant, J. (Oral) The impugned order dated 13.01.2016 has been passed by the Excise and Taxation Officer-cum-Notified Authority.
Learned counsel for the petitioners fairly states that the order is appealable. However, he makes out a case of urgent adjudication of the dispute.
While relegating the petitioners to the alternative remedy of appeal, we dispose of this writ petition with a direction that if the appeal is filed within two weeks, the Appellate Authority shall decide the same in accordance with law by way of a reasoned order within a period of two months from the date of its filing.
