HARINDER SINGH SIDHU, J The petitioner had filed a criminal writ petition bearing CRWP No.4871 of 2021 seeking direction to the official respondents to protect her life and liberty and that of her family members from respondent Nos.4 to 11, who are her brother, sister-in-laws apart from other family members of inlaws of her brother and neighbours. It was her grievance that though the petitioner had got registered FIR No.114 dated 13.07.2016 under Sections 120-B,148,323,354 (A) IPC read with Section 149 IPC but no progress had been made in the investigation of said FIR. A representation had been submitted to the official respondents including the Commissioner of Police but to no effect. Petition was disposed of vide order dated 30.07.2021 with a direction to the Commissioner of Police to look into the representation submitted by the petitioner and take a decision thereon within six weeks. A perusal of the contempt petition reveals that the Commissioner of Police Jalandhar has decided the representation submitted by the petitioner. It is evident from the relevant extracts of the order of the Commissioner as reproduced in para 4 of this petition that it has been found that Kishore @ Babu (brother of the petitioner) and his wife have been residing in Amritsar for four years. The other family members from the inlaws of brother of petitioner have also been living in Amritsar. It has been found that there is no danger to the life of the petitioner from them. It has also been noted that a departmental inquiry has been initiated against ASI Jasveer Singh for not properly investigating the case got registered by the petitioner.

In view thereof, order dated 30.07.2021 stands complied with in the light of representation of the petitioner having been considered and decided, therefore, no case for contempt is made out. Disposed of.
