--- Present: Mr.R.S.Kundu, Advocate, for the petitioners. --- Surya Kant, J. (Oral) The grievance of the petitioners is that as a result of acquisition of their land, they are entitled to Annuity in accordance with the Rehabilitation and Resettlement Policy. The petitioners' further grievance is that despite commitment made through the public policy regarding payment of Annuity, the due amount has not been paid so far. The petitioners in this regard served the respondents with a legal notice dated 27.05.2015 (P-1).

In this view of the matter, we dispose of this writ petition with a direction to respondent No.2 to ascertain the correct facts and release the due amount of Annuity to the petitioners alongwith interest as may be permissible in law, within a period of three months from the date of receiving a certified copy of this order.
